HRKIt's an interesting change, one that needs to happen, right now there is a monopoly on shipping guns, forcing people into gun stores to pay exorbitant fees for the purpose of shipping, and then forcing another fee on the receiving end.
This would eliminate the need to deal with LGS for private sales.
JMO LGS love the fact that you can't move a gun privately without all this government based forced transport rules, they get a piece of every private sale that isn't P2P.
It also looks like it will open up shipping direct to consumer so instead of shipping it to the LGS in the area, you can ship it right to the buyers home.

Fly-SigLibs are melting down over this. They're claiming it will enable mass public shootings and "who knows what else".

parabellumIf you think gun theft with UPS is bad, just wait until you try to send or receive a firearm via the post office.

I agree with this 1000%. I would NEVER ship a gun via USPS if it becomes legal!

ibandaThe shipping restrictions are a little crazy as they are. I went to UPS last week to ship a barrel to ADCO Firearms (just a barrel, not a firearm) and they said nope when they saw where it was going. I had to go home and print my own label before they would ship it. I'm in favor of more options.

12131^^^^ That’s why I hate outfits with “Firearms” or “Guns” in their business names. The box label just screams “STEAL ME!”.
Btw, I agree, more and cheaper options are good. I, as a non-FFL, have been shipping long guns through USPS for years. Never an issue.

Huh? I have been sending and receiving handguns via the FFL, using Priority Mail, for ten or fifteen years. Never had a hint of a problem.

Yes, it would be best to just put ADCO and leave off the firearms.

I ship a shitton of handguns via USPS, but did stop shipping most long guns since they can't seem to get the bigger boxes anywhere on time,
not lost a one,
had a few go missing, but a phone call and mention ATF and Police Report , and they all got found quickly
never put some phrases on the lable,
they will damage one every now and again, but that mostly happens in the holiday season and just after

Marlin FanAbout time, this should take business from the major carriers. More profits for USPS.
