"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

The Thais are such cheerful, fun loving people. Schooling, respect, and manners are really important in Thai culture and it shows in all aspects of their lives. They have their problems but on balance we could learn something from them.
My friend's wife is Thai and said the teacher in the vid got the idea after watching a viral video of an American teacher giving each student entering the classroom their own unique dance-handshake. Regardless of where it originated, pretty cool for young kids to know that starting the day, they have a teacher who's invested in them.
