Is it just me or are there very few actual debates between the Dems and the Republicans this election season?

Seems to me that in each time the Republican WANTS to have a televised debate but the Dem refuses and makes excuses or says "they won't debate an extremist".

Here in PA, the GOP nominee Doug Mastriano has attempted numerous times to get a debate set up between him and his Democrat opponent Josh Shapiro but Shapiro keeps doing the "I refuse to debate an election denier extremist!" thing.

It's such bullshit, the Dems clearly are afraid to debate and be challenged in a public forum.

The dems are following the Biden playbook. Lie and hide. They figured it worked for him so why not.

Yeah, the Democratic contender for Governor here in Arizona has publicly flat refused to debate the Republican contender.

The Democrat is smart as the Republican would make her look like a fool...which she is.

Based on how the left controls debates, questions are written with bias, who in the world would want to participate...

Exactly, they have an uncanny ability to do better when they don't speak and hide their views.

We have a local state assembly race going on here in my district in WI and the Republican candidate felt out told the local paper he had no interest in debating his Democrat opponent. In his words, slightly paraphrased, everyone already knows who they are going to vote for. Maybe not a popular thing to say, but an honest one.

Case in point is the J.D. Vance-Tim Ryan debate. Tim Ryan was completely manhandled by Vance. Tim Ryan, a career politician, utterly collapsed under the weight of simple truth and facts when clearly and confidently put forth by JD Vance.

Yes, we should see more of these debates. Vance, Lake, Mastriano all following the Trump no more bullshit tactic can't lose, even if these debates are usually a rigged game.

The Rep. Congressional candidate in our district has offered to put her opponent's picture on a milk carton so reluctant has he been to face her in a public forum. Pretty understandable given that he'd be asked about how he can possibly support our failing Federal administration. FJB is the gift that keeps on giving to his political rivals this election season, why his party is not unabashedly throwing him under the bus is a mystery.

Even back when there were more of them, I can't remember anything of substance that happened.
They are all so rehearsed with canned answers that it's a complete waste of time to watch.
