Many of you will remember that John Eastman was a legal adviser for President Trump, including advising him on how to proceed with attempts to delay the electoral college certification until states could confirm who were lawful electors.
For providing this advice, Eastman is under indictment in Georgia, D.C., and Arizona; has been disbarred by the State of California Bar Association, and removed from his long-standing position as Dean of the Chapman Law School.
He was a specific and primary target of the original J6 committee.

The Left is trying to do to him what they have done to Giuliani. They want to deprive him of his income, and crush him so that no other attorney will provide legal assistance for Donald Trump.

We were invited to a reception and panel discussion by the Claremont Institute last Wednesday, August 7, in Newport Beach. We went mainly to hear Mr. Eastman, although it turned out to be even more interesting as Senator Mike Lee also gave a talk.

My wife's greatest honor was meeting Mr. Eastman prior to the panel discussion and getting the chance to hear from him face to face what he is facing. He is bearing up amazingly well, with grace and incredible courage and even humor.

He has a GiveSendGo page where one can find links to numerous articles by him, and by his defenders--of whom there have been woefully few among prominent conservative Republicans. His legal bills remain massive, he is barely able to keep ahead of those bills with donations on GiveSendGo.

For anyone interested in knowing more, and hearing it from him rather than the calumny heaped upon him by the mainstream media, Wikipedia, etc., here is a link:

John Eastman served as President Trump's lawyer on several legal challenges arising out of the 2020 election, including President Trump's Motion to Intervene in the U.S. Supreme Court in Texas v. Pennsylvania et al., and Trump's own Petition in Trump v. Boockvar asking the Supreme Court to review three unconstitutional Pennsylvania Supreme Court decisions.Dr. Eastman also advised the President about constitutional ways to prevent illegal conduct of the election from determining the results, and he spoke before the President at the Save America rally on January 6.

For his efforts to ensure a free and fair election, he was "retired" from his tenured faculty position at Chapman University's law school, where he had previously served as Dean, and had his classes and speaking responsibilities cancelled at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he was serving as the Visiting Professor of Conservative Thought and Policy. He has been targeted by hard core leftist activists who have filed a bar complaint against him, seeking to have him disbarred and thereby lose his source of income. He has also been subpoenaed by the hyper-partisan January 6 Committee in the House of Representatives, which is targeting anyone involved in election integrity efforts as well as those engaged in freedom of speech and association to voice their objections to illegality in the conduct of the election.Responding to both of these attacks has required Dr. Eastman to hire outside counsel, at significant cost to himself.

We, as Americans, need to push back against illegal conduct in elections.Elections are the way we give our "consent" to government, and if they are not free and fair, We the People are no longer sovereign and we no longer have a government that derives its "just powers from the consent of the governed," as the Declaration of Independence promises. The stakes for freedom are high, and Dr. Eastman asks for your support. The funds raised will be used to pay for his legal team (responding to January 6 Committee and bar complaints, as well as bringing suits for violations of constitutional rights).

I think it's shameful how little support this distinguished constitutional scholar has received from those who should be his allies. Even if you disagree with the advice he gave, the criminalization of legal advice seen in his case should be a huge red flag warning us that the Left is out to destroy anyone opposing their aim of total power.

I'm all about allowing a man to keep his livelihood. But the left is practicing "correct" discipline: crush any resistance as a lesson to bystanders.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
