I have a grown nephew that is mentally disturbed, Violently so sometimes, Since a motorcycle accident he had at about 10 years old, Dirt bike off-road, Yes, he had a helmet on but sustained a head injury.

Details, are few but the police found him walking down the highway a little while ago carrying an air-soft or pellet gun which he refused to put down when ordered to. So they shot him!

The only other thing I know now is that the family was told they couldn’t stop the bleeding so they sent him to Vanderbilt hospital in Nashville for surgery.


It’s a long story, but he’s sweet as pie when his meds are all working But even then the least little thing can trigger him and then he starts tearing up stuff, or trys to harm himself. It is a truly sad situation…

Knowing him… I wouldn’t be surprised if he pointed the gun at them or threaten them verbally or both…

He has been under professional care for years.

That entire situation is in my prayers.

Not going to judge someone's actions due to TBI.

I cannot imagine the anguish his parents experience.

Rod placed in his tibilia last night.
More surgery today.

Sadly, no chance likely that my Nephew will ever be a productive member of society, short of a miracle.

Charged with 4 counts of Aggravated Assault.
