I bought the 1000W version, and though it mostly works, it does periodically shutdown for no apparent reason. I have yet, in about 10 tries, had the generator run a full tank of gas without just stopping. Since I bought it to run some devices overnight, getting up in the wee hours to restart the genny makes it worthless to me. I bought mine on clearance, so no returns. Personally, I won't buy another generator that isn't a Honda, or perhaps Yamaha. YMMV.

Better to have a cheap generator, than no generator at all in times of emergency. Upgrade when and if able

Now·a·days, most, if not all generators, even the cheap ones, have a low oil shut off sending unit. Yours could be bad even if it is brand new. You could try jumping it out. Just a thought.

Home Depot has the same generator at the same price, FYI.

I just ordered one as hurricane season is around the corner. Thanks.

I will let you know. I just bought one to power my furnace if the power goes out in the winter. We were without power for like 12 plus hours a couple months ago and the deer blind heater only kept it warm in one room. Probably never get used but I will let you know the hours on it at the time on the first fire.. Big Grin
