Thank you for your continued expertise. I’m only attaching one base unit to the home jack at this time, so I think that should be fine. All other phones attach wirelessly to the base unit for phone connections. Thanks for confirming my pic. I’ll do a test and confirm that service is interrupted if I pull the gray RJ connector. But good to have confirmation that this is probably the correct thing. I think the white cable with wire pairs goes to 2 other RJ connectors in the closet hub. They connect to a bulkhead which then goes to various jacks inside the house. To be doubly safe, I’ll probably disconnect the white cable RJ’s from this bulkhead as well. But I’ll do that later - it’s hard to get to the closet hub (need to move a bunch of stuff). It’s probably unnecessary but just in case someone plugs the gray RJ at the NID back in (I plan to label them as intentionally disconnected for VOIP). I’ll look into other VOIP service provides. I’m not familiar with the market at all. So, just going with the “easy” path for now (large telco that currently provides my phone service). Plan is perhaps to just do away with phone service and just rely on cell phone. This will be tedious though. Thanks again. "Wrong does not cease to be wrong because the majority share in it."
