The photo below shows a B2C coupler, B as in "brass." I can find these easily enough.

What I can't find, is an S2C coupler. Same dimensions, but S as in "stainless steel."

The last batch that I bought, I cleaned out an outfit that was going out of business, got a bit over a hundred of them for 99 cents each. That business is gone now, I need to buy a quantity of these, and can not find a source anywhere.

Anybody know where to get these?

The photo above, PMF is the vendor for some of the stuff that I buy for my carpet cleaner rental business. They have re-designated the B2C, as a QD10 -- QD, as in "Quick Disconnect." When I need the brass version, I buy it from them. I'm looking for a stainless version, PMF is the first place that I checked, but alas, they do not carry this part in stainless steel.

This company has them but it’s a whole lot more than 99 cents.

S2C coupler

That looks like a straight forward 1/4" air coupler. Just about anyone stocks that in any material. I use Parker in my area because that's who I have.

Is there something special about it?

I see some others listed the parker part. But its a completely common part if its what I think it is. Zoro has it for like $3 I think as a speedaire part. I bet your local NAPA has it as well.

I don't think they come in stainless, but that looks a lot like a P or T style Milton air hose fitting.

It’s a std. automotive style coupler. They for sure come in stainless. If the op gives us the size and or any odd requirements like pressure or type of stainless we can find them easily.

I'm not sure what a P or T fitting is, but if it's the same as (interchangeable with) the S2C, it absolutely comes in stainless.

My rental equipment uses them, in stainless. We like to keep a couple dozen in stock for equipment repair. The parts bin for these is running low and approaching the reorder point.

Last time that we needed to order one or two dozen, we lucked into finding a company that was going out of business and we cleaned out their remaining supply at $0.99 ea., which they said was their cost when they bought in very large quantity. That company is gone now. Frown

I did not mean to imply they can't be bought in Stainless anywhere from any manufacturer, just that the ones Milton makes are not available in Stainless.

Hah! The only Grainger location near me, that I was aware of, closed a few years ago. I followed the link in your post and now I see a Grainger location I was not aware of, that is less than ten miles from home. I'll check them this coming week.

I can get all that I need in brass. Problem is, this is rental equipment, which is guaranteed to be abused by many of our esteemed customers. Brass is softer than stainless. If user abuse results in a scratch or nick on the end of the male plug it will not make a good seal with the o-ring in the mating female coupler and we will get complaints (valid) that the coupler is leaking.

Stainless is a lot harder, tougher, than brass. These are also available in zinc coated steel; we have tried these and they are more resistant to nicks and scratches than brass, but they do corrode and rust, so we don't use them.

I have also found them in chrome. They work OK. Our first choice is stainless, second choice is chrome, then brass.
