PykerTire question. Will it fit?
I am changing my tires on my 2011 RAM 1500. They still have a bit of life left in them at only just over 2 1/2 years old with no cuts, checking, or scuffing, but I like new rubber in the winter.
My step son, who has neither a pot to piss in, nor a window to throw it from, is interested in them. He has a 2011 Suburban.
My tires are 275/60R20s, his rig calls for 265/70R17 or 265/65R18.
Will my tires fit or is the difference too big???? I'm thinking 'No' but thought I'd ask as I'm sure people know the definitive answer better than I.

maladatThe tire width and sidewall height (the first two numbers) differences would probably be fine but they’re for different diameter wheels (the last number). Not going to happen.

PykerThat's what I thought. Oh well, thanks.

Skins2881First question is do they have the same bolt, if that's no, you need adapters and I'd give up there.
If yes, next experiment and see if they physically fit in the driveway. Then take on the road purposely driving over dips and bumps as well as very tight turns. Maybe throw in some turns over bumps/dips. If that seems like a lot of work, try a vehicle specific forum somebody has probably tried it already.
Also he'll need to get his speedometer recalibrated or use a buddy to figure out his fudge factor by driving next to him and comparing speed readouts.

Tires, not rims. Already got my answer tho, thanks.

Skins2881Tires? Yeah, no way. I assumed you interchanged words and meant wheels.

sourdough44Of course everything costs $$, but here comes Winter. I’ve known more than a few funerals where one of the main contributors was poor tires in the snow.
I think with a set of Blizzacks, there would of been no funeral.

Thanks for the input, but completely irrelevant to the question I asked.

eweissAgreed about the RIM size different 20'vs vs 18 or 17. This is a useful tool to compare the dimensions of width and height.
