Wife wants to do the cut-the-live-tree-thing, it’s what she’s done all her life and “happy wife, happy life” I say...

This year we got a Concolor Fir, it’s pretty unique and we really like it so far.

Has anyone ever used one of these?

They smell citrusy when cut!

Better serve the squirrels a eviction notice before you bring the tree in the house! I think there was a guy once who brought a live tree in his house with a squirrel still in it. Didn't go well for him! Razz

Friends get one every year and they smell good and seem to hold their needles for a good while.

And agree, if the little woman of the house is happy, there’s no point in decrying the expense of an annual live tree purchase. They are excellent for touching off the spring brush burn Big Grin

Yeah, I heard about that guy. It was Christmas Eve and a bunch of his extended family was over when the squirrel ran amok. Unfortunately, his hick cousin, who had shown up uninvited a couple days before, had a dog. The dog did more damage chasing the squirrel than the squirrel could’ve ever done. What’s worse, later the same night, the same cousin, kidnapped the guys boss and brought him to the house. He erroneously thought the man would enjoy the opportunity to tell off his boss who had stiffed him on his Christmas bonus that year.

It’s quite a story. I think it’s all chronicled in a documentary or something.

PASig, LOL it looks like you are about to cut down that tree in your neighbors back yard. I'm sure that is not the case, but that's the first thing that came to mind looking at the picture. Wink Merry Christmas to you and your family.

OMG, I can't stop laughing imagining that visual! Someone should make a movie!

That tree looks like a good tree for putting all sorts of stuff all over.

The tree Farm is pretty big but one side backs up to a residential area, that was the side where the Concolor trees were.

Same here. Grew up in "logging" country in the Pacific Northwest. This one is new to me.

Edited to add: Seems to be a White Fir, based on a google search.
