Old 35mm/Slides/Negatives converter suggestions pls
I'm looking to scan old 35mm negatives/slides/8mm that I unearthed from my mom's attic. I enjoy looking at old pictures. Can the hive mind recommend something decent for around $200? Looking to convert them to jpg.

Costco photo look lab. Let them do it. The cheap ones are, well, cheap.

You should first decide how many you really want digitized. Legacybox.com will also digitize, it’s about $1 per slide or photo. If you have thousands, you probably want to develop a system to do it yourself.
I use a Nikon slide copier device that goes over the front of the camera lens, an LED panel for lighting, and take photos through the camera (in my case an Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mk II that allows connecting the camera to a big video monitor for adjusting focus, etc.).
I find that method faster and equal in quality to a Nikon dedicated slide scanner.

I used one of this ship them off options as well. After culling down to 100-150 the cost was manageable, and the quality was WAY better than any at-home option.
