I just can't see a tv manufacturer creating a whole SKU for a finished goods product for just a weekend sale. The cost of having a stripped down version designed and produced can't be made up by the low price/margin.

I can believe they can take an existing finished goods that is low end and create a new SKU. All that would take is packaging and a few key components where the model number is imprinted. That's more doable.
