I bought a beard trimmer!

Pipe SmokerI bought a beard trimmer!
My barber shop finally opened for haircuts six weeks ago, but face masks are still required, so no beard trimming. After months of no beard trims, I began trimming my own with ordinary scissors. I did a half decent job, but it was tedious.
Today it finally occurred to me that I could likely find beard trimmers on Amazon. Yessiree! Just ordered this one for $20:
www.amazon.com/dp/B01K1HPA60/r..._api_i_sfsqFb7VAZBTEIt’s sure to work much better than scissors. I may never pay for beard trims again.

dar185Let us know how the trimmer works. I am in the same situation. My beard is burly but everywhere I go it is covered by a mask.

Skins2881My wife has been cutting my hair. She was using my beard trimmer, found combo clippers and beard trimmer at Costco, works much better, and she can do a better job with the right tool.
I don't know if my barber has reopened, but masks required here, so I'm not even going to check and see if she's opened back up.

FredwardI tried trimming with an old set of dog trimming clippers but it didn't really come out right, so I bought something similar. Be advised the numbers on the adjustable head (if you have one) do NOT correspond with your barber's clippers. A number 3 left me with just what appeared to be needing a shave.

PR64I usually trim my beard between barber visits. I go to the Barber about every 6 weeks or so to get a nice neck line done. I struggle with doing a good neck line...

cparktdSince retired I rarely shave. I use one similar to that once week without a guard, leaving me with that sexy day old beard look

. It does get a little rough before the week is up, if I wasn't so lazy I would do it twice a week.

JonDaddy82Ever since I discovered beard trimmers with a vacuum and a little fur trap I won't go back. The old lady is VERY happy with the discovery.

According to the Amazon reviews, it's probably not a good idea.

bald1I've had a pair of Wahl #9879 beard trimmers for many many years. They continue to serve well.

mas4363There are excellent beard trimming videos on YouTube. Like anything else but on the internet do research first before following any one method.

WolfpackerI purchased something very similar by Wahl. I don’t think that it has as many accessories but I like it a lot. So far it does all that I need it to do.
I think that you will like yours as well.

Sigforum. For all your needs.
And this is why I'm not worried about the interwebs having a realistic profile of who I am - following links like this. Wait.....
Thus the metric system did not really catch on in the States, unless you count the increasing popularity of the nine-millimeter bullet.

dsietsI have Philips Norelco beard trimmer. It's about 15 yrs. old and replaced an unremembered beard trimmer that died after +/- 5yrs.
I balked at first when I saw the PN trimmer on Walmart's shelf at around $18 but it's been a great trimmer for my goatee and reducing the non-goat areas to an acceptable length for cleaning up w/ a DE razor.
Compared to my $60+ head trimmer, it holds a charge very well.
But of course, a lot can change in 15 yrs.

Para, Make sure you have the 9000 2.0 because the earlier models, if the fuel mixture was run too lean, they would seize and lock up, requiring medical extraction from the bushy area.
You never know w/ recall notices now days.

SigM4My wife’s been trimming my hair for about 7-8 years now. #1 guard on the clippers and go to town. Once she’s finished up I swap to a #2 for the beard and then finish off the edges with a small trimmer. Keeps $20 or so in my pocket every couple weeks.
I just recently upgraded to a cordless set of clippers, somewhat pricey at around $100, but at this point I’ve already saved that many times over.
Success always occurs in private, and failure in full view.

cparktdOne problem I ran into with mine... it runs SO long on a charge, many weeks, that I forgot about recharging it until it died mid shave once.
Had to wait half done for almost a half hour before it charged enough to finish the job. Glad I wasn't in a hurry! It won't run on the charger alone if the battery is fully dead.
Endeavor to persevere.
