kg5388Ham Radio question during eclipse
I know sun can cause problems with radio signals. What will happen during the eclipse? Will it stay the same or will there be less interference allowing signals to reach farther?

OKCGene80 meters is a nighttime band, but it's my understanding ( from our Saturday morning ham club meeting) that it should be temporarily working during the eclipse. That will be very interesting.
Unfortunately I'll be at work instead of at my ham shack.

JALLENFrim the buzz in ham websites and reflectors, it sounds like a great many towns and counties are activating their emergency plans to deal with the expected crowds. For the most part, these use VHF-UHF bands which are not affected.
There are special event stations in various places, and quite a few hams are planning to be in their cars and out on mountain tops, etc. with various ideas to test, readings, etc.
