I had kind of an amusing thing happen that some of you might enjoy.

You all may recall this incident from January of 2023 when a group of students from a Catholic school were kicked out of a Smithsonian museum for wearing these pro-life beanies. Shortly after that incident Para posted this thread about purchasing a beanie to show our support. I bought one, but screwed up and checked the wrong box indicating that I’d pick it up instead of having it shipped.

In March of 2023 I got an email saying that it was ready for pickup and I responded that I’d made a mistake, explained that I really only bought it to show my support, and asked that they give the beanie to someone as a gift.

I didn’t hear back from them and assumed they had done so, until I got an email in January of this year telling me that they’d be happy to ship it to me if I provided my address. I responded with a thanks and my address but never heard back and never received the package and eventually I forgot about it.

Until today, almost two years later, when it showed up in my mailbox. It took them a while but I have to commend them on being true to their word and getting me the hat I purchased. I will wear it with pride.

I received mine a few days ago also! About a year ago they e-mailed me because when I ordered it I didn’t realize I had checked the option to pick it up in the office, but since I’m in Arizona, I told them to just give it to a kid that might need it. So it was a nice surprise to receive it with a very nice note of thanks for support.

Nice! I guess they are just getting around to getting some of them sent out.

Normally an almost two year wait would irritate me but it was never about the hat anyway. I’m just glad they got some support from this forum.
