No, that would be a smooshed alien.

I had the same thing happen...left rear went flat on me. Changed to the spare, checked the tire and found nothing. Soapy spray, nothing.

Didn’t have a tank big enough to dunk it, so took it to local tire shop and they dunked it, saw a bead of bubbles and pulled the tire. Somehow I hit the remains of an animal and a small piece of bone went right through and was sitting inside the tire. You could see the puncture from the inside, but it was in a bizarre spot on the tread that was easily missable.

My wife called me and said the car was making a noise and felt funny, so she had pulled into a parking lot. She also told me the tires looked ok.

I get there, walk around the car and immediately spot the problem. She was amazed that I figured it out so quickly. I kid you not, this is exactly the way the tire was sitting when I got there.

Perhaps the adhesive momentarily pulled the on the tire enough so the bead separated from the rim enough to lose air.

I had a cracked alloy wheel that lost air as the tire rotated over the spot with the crack. There would be a distinct hiss when that happened. Otherwise, you would have never know it was losing air.

Well we male species just know about cars. It is our intuition and superior intellect not to mention great visual acuity.

I got the tire replaced today. The tire had so little tread wear that I only had to pay $20 for the new tire. So that was the good part.

I asked the guy why it went flat and he couldn't locate a hole. Not sure that he put much effort into it since I was replacing the tire.

I definitely damaged the sidewall rolling on it completely flat.

BTW, I want to rant about the OEM bottle jack that came with the truck. What a dangerous piece of crap that is. If you jack on the axle like the manual says, you can extend the jack fully and you only get the wheel off the ground by about an inch. On top of that, it has a tiny base, and a wee little head with almost no forming that would make it secure jacking on the round axle. Horseshit. That's a dangerous procedure on the best of surfaces, much less on the surfaces where you are likely to have to change a flat in an emergency.

This is the oem jack.

I ended up jacking under the heavy gauge leaf spring bracket on the bottom side of the axle. That gave me an extra 3/4 of an inch. There's plenty of space between the bolts and it's flatter. The bracket is entirely strong enough for jacking up a rear corner. After that experience, I went out and bought a 2-ton scissor jack that extends to nearly 16 inches. It has a much bigger base, and the head fits perfectly in the leaf spring bracket on the underside of the axle. In fact, I may cut a piece of 6x6 to fit the jack head and the jack point more precisely.

On longer trips, I may throw my 1.5 ton floor jack in the truck and travel with that.

Yep. Cost cutting on all ends. I particularly like it when they cut corners on safety. Having a good jack is essential. Good move on buying that piece of equipment.
