Busts a racket, gets into it with the referee, gets a point penalty, pushes it, then gets a game deduction. ‘I have a daughter’ and what does that have to do with tennis Serena?

Felt bad for this young 20 year old (Osaka) who conducted herself with nothing but class gaining her first grand slam win. Serena was getting beat and acted like a child who lost her sucker. “You owe me an apology!” Classless act at the US Open final. Grand Slam, deserves grand athletes, not whiny babies who can’t take a loss.

Yeah, she threw a tantrum over a damn warning, then it went south from there. Some professional -- definitely did not show much class.

Was losing the match and lost her cool. Everything the ump tagged her own was a clearly defined rules violation, no shades of grey.

She's the perfect liberal. She thinks the rules don't apply to her, but when someone applies them, she breaks out the race and gender card.

I'm impressed with the referee! Wow! Usually, being Black gains you a pass on bad behavior. Being a Black transgender does so even more. But this ref treated the person with no bias or special consideration. Good for that ref!

But...but...but, she is the Greatest Athlete Ever...blah blah blah.

Of course Billy Jean Queen had to chime in that if she was a man what she did would just be ok.

I'm half and half on this one. This umpire has had a history of taking far worse insults and threats from male players yet give no quarter to Serena. However, Serena did go complete apeshit and I've minor offense turned into a big one for little reason.

To me there is no middle ground. She got a point deducted, move on. The fact she kept bitching and bitching and bitching is what got her a game deduction. The male players this same guy has pulled this with, after a warning and point deduction the male players moved on and didn’t push it. Ramos is well regarded and this match call was the same as he has ever done. Has nothing to do with female, black, nothing. He was dealing with a child that wouldn’t stop her temper tantrum. And Ramos was well within the rules also. If she doesn’t like the rules she doesn’t have to play.

Who fucking cares?

I get her point, to a point. The first infraction for coaching is on the umpire. What Serena's coach did was exactly what every other coach does. It's like getting ticketed for not getting across the crosswalk before the little hand stops blinking.

However, everything after that is on her. There's no gray area and no judgment needed by the umpire for the infractions for breaking equipment and calling the umpire a thief. She knew the score and decided to play the game anyway.

He started the fire, she poured gasoline on it and blew herself up.
