That statement in full amounts to a confession that he did not "to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States" and did not intend to do so.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

If I were the Krimson Kenyan, I'd be upset, too, since we now have a President who is dismantling all of Barry's America-hating shit.

Guess what, Barry? You're no longer President. You no longer call the shots, and that's a permanent state of affairs. Suck it up, son. It's called being an adult.

Screw you and all your precious illegal invaders.

Not.

Welcome.

Get it?

Former President Barack Obama calls President Donald Trump’s decision to phase out the so-called DACA program ‘‘cruel’’ and ‘‘self-defeating.’’

The program has provided nearly 800,000 young immigrants a reprieve from deportation. The Trump administration announced Tuesday it’s rescinding the program and leaving it to Congress to come up with an alternative

The former president praised so-called “Dreamers” in his decision.

“They are that pitcher on our kid’s softball team, that first responder who helps out his community after a disaster, that cadet in ROTC who wants nothing more than to wear the uniform of the country that gave him a chance. Kicking them out won’t lower the unemployment rate, or lighten anyone’s taxes, or raise anybody’s wages,” he said.

Obama did not mention Trump by name in his statement but says a ‘‘shadow has been cast’’ over some of the nation’s best and brightest young people. He says targeting them is wrong ‘‘because they have done nothing wrong.’’

Obama says it’s up to members of Congress to act and he joins his voice with the majority of Americans who hopes Congress will step up.

The Trump administration announced Tuesday that it would end the DACA program with a six-month delay

According to Department of Homeland Security officials, people with permits whose renewals are set to expire between now and March 5, 2018, will be able to re-apply — so long as their applications are submitted by Oct. 5, 2017, one month from Tuesday. No permits will be revoked before their existing expiration dates, and applications already in the pipeline will be processed, they said.

Trump, in a statement, said the change would be ‘‘a gradual process, not a sudden phase out.’’

Here is dipshits complete statement:

Read the statement by former President Barack Obama on the Trump administration decision to end DACA.

Immigration can be a controversial topic. We all want safe, secure borders and a dynamic economy, and people of goodwill can have legitimate disagreements about how to fix our immigration system so that everybody plays by the rules.

But that’s not what the action that the White House took today is about. This is about young people who grew up in America – kids who study in our schools, young adults who are starting careers, patriots who pledge allegiance to our flag. These Dreamers are Americans in their hearts, in their minds, in every single way but one: on paper. They were brought to this country by their parents, sometimes even as infants. They may not know a country besides ours. They may not even know a language besides English. They often have no idea they’re undocumented until they apply for a job, or college, or a driver’s license.

Over the years, politicians of both parties have worked together to write legislation that would have told these young people – our young people – that if your parents brought you here as a child, if you’ve been here a certain number of years, and if you’re willing to go to college or serve in our military, then you’ll get a chance to stay and earn your citizenship. And for years while I was President, I asked Congress to send me such a bill.

That bill never came. And because it made no sense to expel talented, driven, patriotic young people from the only country they know solely because of the actions of their parents, my administration acted to lift the shadow of deportation from these young people, so that they could continue to contribute to our communities and our country. We did so based on the well-established legal principle of prosecutorial discretion, deployed by Democratic and Republican presidents alike, because our immigration enforcement agencies have limited resources, and it makes sense to focus those resources on those who come illegally to this country to do us harm. Deportations of criminals went up. Some 800,000 young people stepped forward, met rigorous requirements, and went through background checks. And America grew stronger as a result.

But today, that shadow has been cast over some of our best and brightest young people once again. To target these young people is wrong – because they have done nothing wrong. It is self-defeating – because they want to start new businesses, staff our labs, serve in our military, and otherwise contribute to the country we love. And it is cruel. What if our kid’s science teacher, or our friendly neighbor turns out to be a Dreamer? Where are we supposed to send her? To a country she doesn’t know or remember, with a language she may not even speak?

Let’s be clear: the action taken today isn’t required legally. It’s a political decision, and a moral question. Whatever concerns or complaints Americans may have about immigration in general, we shouldn’t threaten the future of this group of young people who are here through no fault of their own, who pose no threat, who are not taking away anything from the rest of us. They are that pitcher on our kid’s softball team, that first responder who helps out his community after a disaster, that cadet in ROTC who wants nothing more than to wear the uniform of the country that gave him a chance. Kicking them out won’t lower the unemployment rate, or lighten anyone’s taxes, or raise anybody’s wages.

It is precisely because this action is contrary to our spirit, and to common sense, that business leaders, faith leaders, economists, and Americans of all political stripes called on the administration not to do what it did today. And now that the White House has shifted its responsibility for these young people to Congress, it’s up to Members of Congress to protect these young people and our future. I’m heartened by those who’ve suggested that they should. And I join my voice with the majority of Americans who hope they step up and do it with a sense of moral urgency that matches the urgency these young people feel.

Ultimately, this is about basic decency. This is about whether we are a people who kick hopeful young strivers out of America, or whether we treat them the way we’d want our own kids to be treated. It’s about who we are as a people – and who we want to be.

What makes us American is not a question of what we look like, or where our names come from, or the way we pray. What makes us American is our fidelity to a set of ideals – that all of us are created equal; that all of us deserve the chance to make of our lives what we will; that all of us share an obligation to stand up, speak out, and secure our most cherished values for the next generation. That’s how America has traveled this far. That’s how, if we keep at it, we will ultimately reach that more perfect union.

Mr. Obama your acts are nothing short of treason go away and stay away.

So if Obama fails miserably at protecting DACA and DACA goes down in flames, can we go after erasing OCare again but without all the whining, cowardice and mealy-mouthed weaseling? If O can't protect DACA, I don't think O can protect OCare either.

I guess they now know the disadvantages of all those policies and executive orders. They end when the administration that passed them ends.

When he announced DACA, Obama said:

"Now, let's be clear -- this is not amnesty, this is not immunity. This is not a path to citizenship. It's not a permanent fix. This is a temporary stopgap measure that lets us focus our resources wisely"

Then how long do we have this "temporary stopgap measure?"

DACA has the requirement "Have continuously resided in the United States since June 15, 2007, up to the present time;" In theory, no illegal alien under 10 years of age can be a Dreamer. The illegals still come. Will progressives demand DACA be extended?

In 1986 there was immigration reform. The act side there would be forgiveness, a path to citizenship, stronger border and punishment for hiring illegals. It failed as Congress lacked the courage to enforce it.

Ocare was an act of Congress. DACA was an executive order AFTER it was rejected by Congress. East to kill and EX, hard to repeal an act of congress. Especially with this bunch of republican vj's.

Is there a valid reason these folks haven't pursued getting their citizenship? If this country means so much to them and they so want to be a part of it, then why haven't they put some effort into protecting their ability to stay here? Oh! That's right we've not had a President with the balls to uphold the laws and as much as I liked him that includes G.W.Bush and all the rest before him.
