My USMC son was just promoted to Corporal, the most junior NCO rank. I told him when he joined the Corps that when he made NCO I would buy him an NCO sword. I plan on doing that and having it engraved. I want to get the right length. They range from 26" to 36" inches. How does one know which length to get? Presumably its based on his trowsers length but I'm not sure. _____________ "I enter a swamp as a sacred place—a sanctum sanctorum. I had to solve the same questions years ago. To make sure what was right, I asked the Marine involved. Have your son get fitted for it. If I remember right it is based on the arm length vs the pant length. You can still pay for it and the engraving, but that's the best way to ensure it's correct. I shall respect you until you open your mouth, from that point on, you must earn it yourself. | |||
