I know, it's hot and full of bugs, and expensive and overcrowded. A long time ago I lived on the Gulf Coast for a couple years and always wanted to go back. We measure our snowfall in feet around here and hide in the house 6 months out of the year. When you do venture out you brush the snow off your truck and drive on snow and ice covered roads. No more. Now I'll just sweat but can hop in the pool when I want. Headed to Parrish Fl, between Tampa and Sarasota, soon to be an ex New Yorker. I told my wife one of the first things I'll do is order some real mags and have them shipped to my door. This message has been edited. Last edited by: mark60,

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

I got out of there in the early 70’s, moved south and could never go back for more than a short visit. You’ll like it there and it’s easy to get around the south to see the other sights.
