I hate fobs but unfortunately they're the trend now and I have 3 vehicles that use them, a Honda truck, car, and a BMW motorcycle. Since the truck is the vehicle I use most I put the fob on my keychain which holds 6 traditional keys. It's in my front pocket with my phone, my wallet and change in the other pocket. The other fobs are in a drawer meaning I have to remember to grab one when taking the car or BMW.

I'm not going to carry the truck fob in my pocket anymore because it seems to get activated in normal use like working on the tractor, changing oil in something, picking up stuff, I hear the truck unlocking and locking. Since the weather's been nice I take a motorcycle or the car so the truck had been sitting under the carport for over three weeks. When I went to get in it every window was down and the sunroof open done somehow through the fob in my pocket being pressed by bending over or something.

It's a real inconvenience not having it with me just having to go back to the house to get the fob in order to get something out or put something in so I want it with me. I've seen cases to put them in but that makes the thing even bulkier. I've also seen some motorcycle riders carry their fobs around their neck like a necklace under their shirt but I think that'd bother me. I'm thinking of putting the damn thing in some kind of case to clip on a belt loop or on my belt. How do you carry your fobs?

Buttons to the rear, on a keychain my kids got me [an F1 car] that hangs outside the pocket. Keeps the fob in place, and the buttons to the rear keeps inadvertent presses to a minimum.

Have the same keychain, in a different color, for the fob to my wife's truck.

Other keys are on a small keyring & just goes in the pocket.

With my personal vehicle, I carry it in my front pocket. I had similar issues with inadvertent activations on my latest car (only) until I put it in a silicone fob cover, which solved that.

On duty, I carry it clipped to a key keeper on my belt.

same way I've always caried car keys.

I'd probably if in your case have those 6 other keys on a different ring.

Varies.

Running, in a runner's elastic waist band belt, with my phone.

On duty, in my duty bag so my unit keys can dangle from my duty belt key keeper.

Hiking, in the pack in a zipper pocket, with a spare fob in my wife's pack.

Bicycling, in the jersey pocket opposite my phone.

Etc. Etc.

Car fob goes in the front pocket, only put it there when leaving in the car. I have no other keys attached to the fob. I dislike having lots of keys in my pockets, other keys like the PO Box are on a separate key chain in the car since I need to drive to the PO to use it.

When not in use it sits on my wardrobe in the closet and the spare is on a key hook in the mud room with our other keys.

Motorcycle Key goes on a small carabiner, hooks to a belt loop, then the fob goes into my back pocket while riding so in case the loop breaks the key doesn't go bouncing down the road, when it's not on me it's in the tour pack.

5.11 pants, front mini pocket inside the left cargo pocket.

Two similar cars, two identical fobs, always being activated in my pocket... I now keep the fobs on a cheap carabiner on my belt loop. One fob also has a tiny cable tie on it to identify which fob is for which car.

Wallet, Keyfob, Chap Stick, EarPods. I tend to not wear it, but rather just in hand with me. Got one when I was a runner, and it just stuck. I cannot stand to talk on a cellphone without EarPods, so this is a great solution for all the garbage of modern life. In a pinch (think: Roller coaster, or on a boat), I can add my cell into it and wear it, if need be.

Left rear pocket. Nothing else in that pocket. One fob for one vehicle. The simple life for me!

My Jeep has a regular key. And usually no doors. So no FOB.

My other vehicles all have them, though. Generally they hang on a hook unless being used. Then in a pocket with nothing else attached to them.

At work it hangs on a clip on my duty belt. And in my pocket with its mass of keys if not in uniform.

I prefer the Jeep…

On my key ring with the other keys. I hate those bulky things. What a racket those key fobs are.

I carry mine in my left front pocket and it has a silicone cover on it. No problems with it. But these things are way too bulky.

I don't. I only have one for my F250 and I never carry it. I either leave the keys in the ignition (at home or running errands around town), or take them out of the ignition and drop them in a cup holder or somewhere else. I have an external door unlocker on the truck that opens with a combination, so no need to carry a fob and a wad of keys ever.

In my right front pants pocket along with my Saddleback Pocket ID Wallet. Cell phone in the left and I don't have any keys I need to carry. Oh, and a Victorinox Classic (US Army seal) attached to the fob.

Key to my house, garage, and shop. One to my son's house and shop where I have some things, one to the padlocks to the 2 storage sheds on the property, one to the other house on the property. All together they are smaller than the one fob.

Keys to all motorcycles remain in the ignition when in the garage, well except the fob for the BMW. I've been told not to leave it on the bike as it'll constantly "handshake" with the ecm and deplete the battery.
