4MUL8R2013 GMC Sierra HD Mirror Folding?
I know this is a dumb question. But, after two hours of searching the internet, nothing.
My truck does not have power folding towing mirrors. The internet suggests the power folding did not arrive until 2015 MY. I want to fold these manually. When I push on the mirrors, the resistance to folding is strong. I fear breaking the mirror housing and struts.
Does this risk-averse engineer just need to push harder? I really really really don't want to replace these power adjusting turn signal indicating mirrors should I push so hard they break.
Anyone with personal experience, please comment.
If you don't have personal experience, please refrain from guidance, suggestions to use a bigger hammer, go to the gym and lift weights, etc.

BigSwedeIf they look like this, yes they do fold. I do remember having to put some ass into pushing them back

P250UA5The tow mirrors have a lot more resistance to folding, than the regular mirrors which have detents for the open/folded positions.
Based on my recollection from working for a Chevrolet dealer from 08-10.

GibbIf the truck was used in salt conditions (winter road salt, ocean spray areas) and the mirrors weren't folded regularly, be very careful trying to fold them.
I make sure to fold my mirrors every time I get a car wash, to make sure they stay free.
Every mirror I've seen break was one that hadn't been folded in a while and the spring and hinge rusted up.
