What is your favorite music video? Updated.
I found a music video recently that floored me. I watch it 5-10 times a day. It has me mesmorized. The original song was from the late 60,s. This is a cover.

What is your favorite video? Not just the the music. Production values and photography count.

I will reveal my pick later in the thread.

Here it is. It has grabbed me by the nuts and will not let go.

I have a fondness for black & white. I love some of the older U2 b/w videos.

Enjoy!

Twisted Sister "We're Not Gonna Take It"

I grew up listening to music from the 50's and 60's. All my mom ever played. In 1984 I bought my first tape, with my own money, and it was Twisted Sister. I wore that song out. But I decided I liked the Beach Boys and Jan and Dean better so I gave Twisted Sister away.

"You sit in here all day and play that sick, repulsive, electric twanger! I carried an M16!" Lol I love it!

But I still love the video of the first modern rock song I ever bought.

Grateful Dead's "Touch of Gray", with the skeletons playing the song. I stumbled upon it recently, I haven't seen that video or heard that song since it was new and on Mtv, when Mtv actually played music videos and was cool, not the stupid shit it is now.

Oh, the video isn't all that great, but the tune is well, mesmerizing, from "Patty Gurdy", "Gurdy's Green". Oh and Patty Gurdy isn't all that hard on the eyes, she's a real cuttie, and very talented.

Friday night videos (pre MTV). We had just gotten our first VCR, a two head Sony for $500. They threw in the 30' wired remote for free. One of the first in the neighborhood.

As I was the only one in the family who could figure out how to program it to record, my sister (2 years my senior) threatened me with certain death if I failed to record the newely released "Thriller" video on Friday night. (It was on past our bed time at 11:00PM)

Well I programmed it, and it did record (much to my relief and surprise) and I am pretty sure every kid in the neighborhood spent the next two weeks at my house watching the video and hitting rewind (from the couch, we had a wired remote..hi class...)

This is my favorite right now but it changes daily. No production on this one, just a big live party. Big Grin Cool
