EuroCan Manufacturing is voluntarily recalling Lot Number 84 consisting of it's individually shrink-wrapped, 6-pack, 12-pack and 25-pack bags of Barnsdale Farms, HoundsTooth and Mac's Choice® Pig Ears because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

I was always worried about the pig ears when I gave them to my old chewing machine Gus. They smelled terrible, but he never did get sick from them. He seemed to have a cast iron stomach as he ate carpet, wires, sound deadener, wood, cardboard, newspapers, toilet paper, and the worst, dog and cat turds. He was just shy of 14.5 years when he was put down from cancer.

Lots or recalls this week. Blue Buffalo just had their 3rd in a month. Evengers also had a couple. All are for specific recipes of canned food.
Edited to add: generally Salmonetta doesn't effect dogs but humans can get it by handling these recalled pig ears
