OLD THREAD REVIVAL.
So out of the blue this morning, I received three emails from ATF that three of my form 1 amnesty filings from May 2023 had been approved. Stamped conditional approval per ruling, all approved today. That's three of the eight. Not even sure what this means. We were wondering if come January they were going to process them as neither required the $200 tax.

^^ 'Stamped conditional approval per ruling' is standard for all of the Pistol Brace Amnesty Form 1 filings. It just means that the approval was per conditions pursuant to Rule 08F that were NOT part of the NFA (National Firearms Act), such as NO requirement for the Maker's Engraving on the Receiver and Tax Exempt (Firearm NOT subject to the Making Tax). All of the Pistol Brace Amnesty Form 1's were stamped 'APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS' Pursuant to ATF Final Rule 2021R-08F.
Assuming you filed prior to the deadline, they 'should' process them, though where those forms have been all this time, and why they were not processed until now is mind boggling. Though not required by law, those firearms are now SBRs and part of the NFA Registry.
