Haven't noticed a change here. Our guy still shows up once a month. House cleaners around here also tend to be 100% Hispanic, though we don't use one, so I have no firsthand experience other than seeing them in the neighborhood. Freewill Firearms 07 FFL, Class 2 SOT

So do I. But many of my neighbors use landscapers for their yard work. "If Gun Control worked, Chicago would look like Mayberry, not Thunderdome" - Cam Edwards

The ones that are legitimately here on work visas are still here. And likely always will be. Now you get to see if you were paying a legitimate business or one that doesn’t have to follow the same rules as you and I. ________________ People hate you. Train like it.

There's not much grass in AZ. But we do get a lot of leaves and brush and, even if I were inclined to clean it up myself, there is no way for me to get rid of it. I don't have a truck or a trailer to haul to the dump. One neighbor must store it all in a huge pile in his yard until bulk trash pick up every other month or so. The amount of stuff he puts on the curb each time is just amazing. I'm willing to pay $70/mo to not deal with that. Plus, our guy is great for other odd jobs. The lawn service I use is owned by a guy who grew up in the neighborhood. He employs (mostly) Hispanics from various Central American countries. Having worked in the industry myself, I know how difficult the seasonally-irregular workload makes hiring dependable employees. He has told me that he will sponsor his "regular guys" for citizenship, pays them across the table, withholds taxes, and dismisses those who don't want to get with the program. We have had the same guys attending to our place for several years now, so it appears that he's being honest about this. The mowing season here doesn't start until late April or May, so I won't know if any of our regulars have been sent home until then, but I expect to see all of them on the job.

I don’t know about gardeners, but I was finally able to register as a door dash driver after waiting for a year and a half. Every time I tried to finish my registration, it said my area was full with drivers. Most of the drivers that I saw seemed to be “immigrants” of various ethnicities. Perhaps many of them were deported, or self deported?

I go to church with a landscaping company, family owned and they are not Hispanic. They said that their competition has decreased greatly and they get more calls for work. It looks like a lot of them hit the road before they get caught here illegally.

Same here in North Mississippi. Had the roof replaced on our home a few months back and there were 12 working and only the “Forman” spoke good English. They did remove, clean up, and put 62 new squares of shingles on our house in one day

I used to drift to a stop in my black Crown Vic at construction sites just to watch them scatter. Was funny until somebody fell off the roof and ruined all the fun.

When we moved into McKinney our terrific neighbors told us about Juan, who we used for 7 years. As they said, if you never plan to run for public office, Juan is the one! You only have integrity once. - imprezaguy02
