You've already had your procedure, but for those who haven't, look into Aqua blation. I had this done in February this year. Practically no recovery, and 10 months later, I could strip the bark off a pine tree when I pee :-). Also, very low risk of sexual side effects, which was important to me. Also, I did not even need any pain pills for this.

What's the recommended dosage--half the amount for each?

I don’t know what’s recommended, but I use moderate amounts of each: one Regular Strength Tylenol and one generic 200 mg Ibuprofen.

The Urologist did a green light procedure on me on April the 6th and removed a lot of the wires, but he could not get all if them . I am still in pain. I see a pain doc now. The urologist said there is nothing he could do for me. Will have some nerve procedures soon. A nerve block worked for about 3 days. Exercise or stretching makes the pain worse.

Oh God, that's awful man. I'm so sorry to hear that.

approved by my insurance, scheduled and had the procedure, and three days after I had it done they decided not to approve it and they sent me a bill for $13k

I was advised by provider office all was in order & authorized. Then about 3 billing cycle past due from my pointed NON payment the claims office was getting twitchy. Everything seemed to fall into line once I sent a copy of the SIGNED authorization by one of their claims authorizers that did in fact authorize payment before the procedure, I had to ask them whether my attorney needed to help straighten the issue out. Mysteriously the billing turmoil quietly faded away.

Thanks for updating us. Medical hospitals and physician offices seem to have lots of billing errors. Many people just pay the balance.

At my urologist’s office, she is doing Rezum rather than Urolifts, and says most of the urologists in her group have stopped doing Urolifts.
I was considering Rezum despite the idea of having superheated steam shoved through numerous needles inside your urethra—without anesthesia.
Then the urologist prescribed Cialis daily for my lower urinary tract syndromes, and I no longer need to consider any procedures—for the foreseeable future.

11 days on now. Still pretty uncomfortable and on a lot of meds. I'm probably at a level of discomfort and inconvenience that I expected at about day 3 or 4.

My doc says this is very unusual, and a myriad of testimonials on YouTube seems to confirm, that most people do better than I. Bladder spasms are at the root of my pain. So for the most part I'm ok until I have to go, and then it's pretty bad through about 15-20 minutes.

In short, I would not do this if I had it to do over again. But I rolled the dice at a level of improvement worth a few days of pain, and so I have to work my way out of it. Still hopeful that in a few more weeks this will all be behind me. For now, it's all below me. Wink
