Hey all-

I just wanted to post here to brag about the beautiful jewelry my wife just received! Our own David Truong built her a custom ring jacket for her wedding ring. He also mounted her grandmother's 1 carat diamond in a pendant on a beautiful chain.
He made the process of figuring out what my wife wants and giving it to her much easier than I thought it could possibly be (she is a CV-ICU nurse and very, very particular). From arranging to get the wedding ring and diamond sent to him to getting the finished product safely returned, we never had a worry or an issue.
Words can't describe how beautiful they are. Pictures would help, so I am hoping David chimes in and posts some pics Wink

Thanks again, David!

Bruce

PS: And he came in under his estimate. Amazing.

Backstory:

The diamond is from Katie's mother's mother's ring. Katie's mom wore it until giving it to Katie.
The pendant is just her style and now it will get worn a lot.
A new life for a family heirloom Smile

Thanks again.

Bruce

The main stone on her ring is a quartz with black streaks in it. You're not seeing things. Smile She wanted unique and imperfect. I think it's more striking than a plain, perfect diamond.

I first saw it and said 'tourmaline, cool!'

Now, it's been almost 40 years since I first saw tourmaline, so I may have been mistaken, but I then looked it up, and voilà, tourmalined quartz.

Congrats, those are some awesome pieces.

It may be rutile inclusion, or rutilated quartz.

I was showing my girlfriend the photos. She loves it and told me it was rutilated quartz
