CooksterWhen I found Sig Forum...
I ‘found’ SIGforum during my research for a ‘new’ CCW (early 2007), which I was convinced
had to be a P239 in 9mm.
Although I wound up purchasing a Glock 19 for that purpose at that time, I have been fortune to able to acquire a SIG or two or so since then.

frankinaug20 years is a really long time. I was engaged when I joined and I’ve been married 19 years. 3 moves, way more jobs than I expected, and a so much to be grateful for.

SigFanIt was January of 2000, and we were stationed in Germany at Ramstein AB (‘97-‘01). Nearby was the Kaiserslautern Rod & Gun Club, which had a really good restaurant on the ground floor and a very nicely stocked gun store in the basement. I bought my first Sig there, a P239/9mm TT for $425US no tax. I bought that P239 in late ‘97 and subsequently bought several more Sigs (P220/.45, P232SL/.380, P229/.40 TT), an HK USP-C/.40, a Glock 23 Gen 3 and a Ruger PC9GR (1st Gen) over the course of that tour. By January 2000 I wanted to learn more about Sigs and share my love of Sigs, and I stumbled upon SIGForum.
This has always been my go-to forum. The folks here are great (especially some guy named Dave Truong

). I have learned SO much more than I have contributed, and Parabellum keeps this place a safe, enjoyable, well-regulated community. The generosity of the members here is legendary, and the knowledge base is extremely broad on all subjects, not just firearms. I feel a little smarter every time I log on.

. I look forward to retirement in about 15 months so I can shoot more and spend more time here! Oh! And of course spending more time with Mrs. SigFan traveling and whatnot…
