I believe in the principle of Due Process |
The future in Houston seems to be mighty tough. As I posted in another thread, it is lucky that there is a builder at the helm, responsible for aid and rebuilding efforts. It could be much, much worse. Let us not forget. How the Clinton Foundation Got Rich off Poor Haitians. Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me. When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Thanks for posting. It is a good reminder of who often profits in these disasters. I am well acquainted with the profiteering that goes on following events such as these. It is particularly sad when it happens to such an impoverished nation as Haiti. I am hopeful that the current administration will do a good job, as he does have some building experience himself.

"I wouldn’t go so far as to say the Clintons don’t care about Haiti. Yet it seems clear that Haitian welfare is not their priority. Their priority is, well, themselves. The Clintons seem to believe in Haitian reconstruction and Haitian investment as long as these projects match their own private economic interests. They have steered the rebuilding of Haiti in a way that provides maximum benefit to themselves." Read more at: http://www.nationalreview.com/...a-clinton-foundation The Clintons are sick people.
