There are basically no non-criminal tasks that those tools accomplish outside the rescue world, and just about nobody who would buy them knowing what they are. Hopefully, the engine crew noticed them missing during a vehicle check, NOT because they needed 'em RIGHT NOW.

On a recent "Junkyard Empire" episode they were using that tool for quick removal of catalytic converters on junked cars.

Lots of homeless encampments out here, more so in the urban areas. Various Health and Human Services departments along with non-profit advocacy groups get called to these camps, things predictably get violent and police are called in with Public Works to do a sweep and clean. Low and behold, all sorts of stolen and pilfered items are discovered. Most of these idiots found in possession either bartered for the goods or, actually did the stealing, knew it had value but, had zero understanding of the market, thus they become hoarders...clinging to an item that has value but, can't find anybody willing to buy it.

You mean stealing from the taxpayer. I bet the FD has the good 250 dollar plus Halligan bars as well. Most well equipped Departments have extras and can order pretty quickly. At least the guy did not steal the fire truck. I trust there is video of the perp.

Most departments check their equipment daily. It would be missed unless we are talking about a rural volunteer FD.

A shave of the back and perineum - multiple times - and then a vinegar after shave.

This, prior to a week in the stocks.
