Braintrust, I recently rewatched “Korean War: MacArthur’s Great Gamble” on AHC, and am trying to figure how to get the app for my 9 year old grandson. He loves watching and reading about WWII and military history. We get AHC on our TV service, but my son’s more modern family uses various apps, You Tube, etc, and is experimenting with avoiding cable TV service. AHC, American Heroes Channel, is apparently the old Military Channel, which went belly up. Other excellent series included “Apocolypse: WWI”. Can annyone educate me on the best military channels, and how one can get to them without a cable TV subscription. Is “History Vault” a good one ($50/yr subscription)? Its series include “Greatest Mysteries” and a number of series on “Hitory’s Greatest Battles” and “History’s Greatest Leaders”, and series include “Korean War: Fire & Ice”. If I can figure out how to gift a subscription to him, it looks like it might be excellent. And also, if the spirit moves you, other recommended series like “Korea” and “Apocolypse”. It may be that the best way to get some of them is individually via Amazon Prime and You Tube. With thanks, Scott | ||
