ID on holster
Since this forum has never failed
I was going through some of my holster boxes today to see what I can see, I came across a nice IWB for commander length 1911 I came across one marked “AEG”. I did a web sear.ch with nothing I could find. Does anybody have any knowledge of this brand, I am coming up blank in my scrambled memory

Possibly it is associated with Airsoft ... AEG for Automatic Electric Gun. There are rifle and handgun versions ... like the 1911.

AEG was a large conglomerate and major supplier of grips found on World War 2 P38 pistols among other things. Like US companies in wartime, they made a diverse and unlikely group of products for the military. I have read a number of AEG markings referenced by collectors and could swear some WW2 holsters were marked 'A.E.G.' but cannot find a pic on a quick search. I know they definitely produced magazines. Maybe they produced some 1911 holsters in the postwar years to equip western occupiers?

Allgemeine Elektricitäts-Gesellschaft AG [2] (AEG; German for 'General electricity company') was a German producer of electrical equipment founded in Berlin as the Deutsche Edison-Gesellschaft für angewandte Elektricität in 1883.

Pictures always help. The contour of the boning, the style and color of the stiching, and the shape of the attachment points can all be used to rey and identify the holster.

Could AEG be a model number, like Mitch Rosen’s ARG for the 1911?

Gear, the main difference, I think you are showing a Rosen fixed loop model, mine has two snap straps to secure it and lock a pants belt loop
I will try to get a pic or two up, bear with meTech wise, I am not clicking on all 8 cylinders
For the last 18 months
