AglifterDoes your breakfast change with seasons?
As we are having cool rain in Charleston, it feels like it’s time to switch to doing our baked oatmeal instead of cottage cheese and fruit.

7ironyogurt and dried fruit in the summer. Steel cut oats in the winter

RogueJSKI eat yogurt with fresh fruit and granola more often during the summer, and oatmeal or baked oatmeal with dried fruit more often during the winter.
Heavy, hot oatmeal just sounds better in cold weather, while yogurt with fresh fruit is more appealing when the fruit is in peak season in the summertime. (Imported and fake ripened strawberries and blueberries in the wintertime suck compared to the real deal.)

AglifterWe pretty much use frozen berries year round, now. In general, better quality, unless it’s coming from a local farm.

M-F: 75 mph protein bar and cold brew coffee (i.e. during commute to work)
Sat & Sun: Coffee ground fresh and brewed fresh; Cook eggs and protein (e.g. bacon or homemade sausage).
Only variation is holidays and vacation: I'll either cook like the weekend or go out to breakfast

Sunday: Cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese with raisins or dried cranberries sprinkled on top.
Monday: bacon, egg, cheese sandwich (bagel substituted for bread occasionally).
Tuesday: cold cereal with milk, dried fruit added as desired.
Wednesday: SPAM glorious SPAM (!!!), egg, cheese on English muffin.
Thursday: oatmeal with dried cranberries or raisins.
Friday: microwave breakfast sandwich.
Saturday: sausage, egg, cheese sandwich; or sausage with sausage gravy on bread (open-face sandwich); or corned beef hash topped with fried egg.

It’s possible to flip-flop a breakfast to another day, if have an early appointment (before Noon).
I’m retired; not an early riser; and somewhat OCD.

Redleg06Post raisin bran with a banana daily unless it's cold out. Then it's steel cut oats, cooked in the rice cooker.

architectNot really, prety much the same year-around.
Sundays: pancakes/waffles or french toast with bacon or sausage.
Weekdays: usually no breakfast, once in a while maybe a banana, or a croissant.
Saturdays: Eggs (usually scrambled), potato pancake (the frozen patties unless we have left-over mashed taters in the fridge), bacon or sausage, toast.
Mrs. A. does not cook breakfast. I try to mix things up a little once in a while, esp. if there are suitable left-overs available (e.g. green chile, etc.)

irreverentYes, without question. It’s seasonal. Sometimes I need orange marmalade on toast, sometimes eggs sunny side up, sometimes grape nuts, etc..it really is seasonally dependent for me.

Very similar for me - coffee with just a splash of milk. That's it.

Year round.
Half & half for me. Then a 2nd cup, black.
I don't eat a regular "breakfast, never did. I occasionally munch on something if I feel a little hungry like a small amount of nuts or a piece of cheese, but for the most part, nothing. I'll eat a formal breakfast in a restaurant maybe six times a year with my wife. We eat breakfast food for Sunday dinner; grits, eggs, hash browns, etc.

PerceptionNo, mine stays the same year round. I usually skip it, but if I get roped into going to get breakfast I make sure it's someplace I can get a burger.
"The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."
"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford, "it is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards."
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in."
