While I am all for the death penalty, I just heard there was a Mexican national who received life in prison instead of the death penalty because he was extradited from Mexico.
Since he could have received death, what about the remainder of his piss ant life in this:

Orfield Laboratories, Minnesota, US
Another anechoic chamber can be found at the Orfield Laboratories in Minneapolis, which held the Guinness record before Building 87.
Tours of the facility can be booked through its website, but it warns that visitors cannot be in the chamber alone for any significant amount of time without supervision. Journalists, however, have been left alone there, in the dark. Most lasted for less than 20 minutes, tortured by the absence of noise – apart from the sound of their own bodies.
“In the anechoic chamber, you become the sound,” says Steve Orfield, the owner of the centre.
“Typically you hear only two sounds in these chambers: the beating of your heart, so the gurgling sound of your blood moving, and the other is what is thought to be spontaneous firings on the auditory nerve,” Trevor Cox, a professor of acoustic engineering at the University of Salford and the author of The Sound Book: The Science of the Sonic Wonders of the World, told Telegraph Travel.
“Your brain is trying to seek out sound by turning up the volume of your ear nerve, so the high pitch noises you actually hear are the sounds of the nerve working but not catching any sounds.”
Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Find an island about 1000 miles from nowhere that can sustain life. Ship them all there and leave them to fend for themselves. Mine the waters surrounding it just in case they figure out how to build a boat.
Problem solved.

So spend a butt load of taxpayer money to find and set up an island for a group of people who's gross cumulative value to society is less than $1. No thank you. Upon conviction for a capital offense, put a bullet in the back of their head and move on. I'm done with this filth draining the pockets and bank accounts of taxpayers.

Life without parole, mandatory hard labor to benefit the society that you wronged against. Refuse labor= no food and water...if you die, oh well.

We have a treaty with Mexico (and other countries) where they will not allow extradition if we are seeking the death penalty. So unfortunately if we want the person back, we can't kill them.

I could see getting rid of the death penalty if instead of life in prison it was called death in prison.
Another interesting fact: St. Thomas Aquinas who was a doctor of the Catholic Church was a big proponent of the death penalty.

One of my shooting buddies was telling me of a case where two 13 year old kids were babysitting an infant. Then they decided to sexual abuse the infant. When they were done, they killed it.
There is no way some people should be allowed to live. There is only one solution for this holocaust, abortion level, satanic filth.

How about a mostly death sentence. Take them right to the edge of death once a day until they go on their own.

1 or 2 of those Islands in the Aleutian would be about perfect!. Let them have their own society, grow their own food, etc.
Any unauthorized boat approaching the islands to be sunk without warning.
