I bave a few mission critical programs that need to be updated and moved to newer machines. The local reps for these programs simply do not want the trouble to do it. Since I work at a cold storage facility we run two softwares that control in a very basic way, the storage chambers temperature. I asked one scada rep if the new version of the program would run under W10. He said NO WAY, you must run under W7 . Then I said why invest in an OS that will be obsolete by the time we implement ghe new software and he replied : because I say so. When I asked again he emailed everyone in the company directorate telling them he would not deal with me because of my rudeness. I emailed the parent company in France and ghey told me the man is an idiot, not technically savvy and of course the program runs under W10 as it is clearly stated in their web page. Eventually, said idiot told us he was not interested in the cold storage industry since it's too small a market. The other program provider let us know he can only move the program to another XP box, We are stuck in the past, lime it or not. Apologies for the typos, using my phone. 0-0 "OP is a troll" - Flashlightboy, 12/18/20

You know you could run Windows 10 for one app and run XP as a Hyper V Virtual Machine for your legacy app > all on the same machine.
