Got up early this morning, went to an early voting location in my county. In and out, smooth as could be.

Let's see- what's this? Ad valorem tax? Fuck you. SPLOST?? (Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax) Double fuck you! You people don't know what to do with the money I've already given you.

Anyway, got it done.

Toshiro and I hope to witness the Red Tsunami.

Good on you Para! Our options for new representation are not so good in my opinion for Ohio. I can't stand either douch bag running. One a Democrat and the other a completely UNPROVEN, UNKNOWN wedged into the Republican seat that I will guarantee you in a RHINO.

However, the state legislature and county I live in are pretty strongly Republican for whatever that is worth today. Like you I will kill any proposed tax put on the ballot!

I forget when but we dropped off our ballots in a ballot box outside in a parking lot. It had a trail camera. I didn't see anyone visibly armed nearby. And, yes, here's hoping for that red tsunami wave.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." I agree with you 100% on the Senate choices. There were 3 other repub candidates that would be better than Vance, no one to blame except Trump for endorsing him.

I voted Thursday, the first early voting day in a location convenient to me. Didn't hurt that it was a beautiful sunny day. No line, no waiting, chose to use a paper, hand-marked ballot rather than the "standard" tablet-printed bar-coded nonsense that they want you to use now (talk about something that is ripe for abuse, not that a hand-marked ballot can't be "miscounted" by the electronic vote counting machine). The poll watcher at the counting machine very blatantly shoulder-surfed my marked ballot, obviously doing a running count in his head, at least he didn't look happy.

The Republican Party of VA was showing their usual lack of enthusiasm, they had a volunteer greeter, but no literature table set up. The Dems were much better organized, NoVA is a very "blue" area so this is somewhat understandable, but I was hoping to see better this year. Yeah, I know, get off my lazy ass and get more involved if you want to see change, but at this point, the RPV seems more like Dems-lite than true conservatives.

We have to vote out the biggest bums for sure. They are destroying things at a record rate.

The next job, after the dust settles and we see what's left or who won, is to put pressure on our remaining bums to actually do something better. They really aren't that great in most cases, it's just the contrast due to the extremely low standard the left has set, makes the ones on the right look better than they actually are.
Not just less bad and blow smoke up our ass until the next political campaign starts.

Just having an R after your name doesn't cut it.

I voted Thursday, the first day early voting opened in my town. I will be out of town on election day. Took maybe 10 minutes.

This time I looked into all the candidates. I checked each school board candidate and voted only for anti-woke pre-parental rights candidates. Also voted against two incumbent judges.

Everything else is straight Republican. Local races often have no opposition to the Republican because Democrats never win in this county.

The voting machine was the usual kind we have here. Not sure the brand but they are not Dominion, and all votes are recorded on a paper tape you can see through a window.

I voted Thursday. Gotta keep Texas a Beto-Free zone b/c I can't imagine having an actual douchebag as governator. In and out in about 3 minutes, and there was the usual farmers market in the parking lot so it was a win win.

We've got a couple of areas around here with these. Montana has no sales tax, but that doesn't stop the liberals. They pass these local option taxes measures to get your money. Fuck 'em. You want to keep me out of your town? That'll do it.

Beto (Robert Francis O'Rourke) is a first class dip shit, but he does have followers. Hard core dems who will vote party line no matter the qualities of the candidate, anti gun people (mostly dems), people who blame Abbott for power outages during a 100 year cold spell and California transplants.

A few days ago I was behind a car with California plates and a Beto sticker. Roll Eyes Tried to grab a pic but the traffic was heavy and the car turned off before I could wrestle my phone out.
