My family and I visited Dallas on vacation last week. One of the things I wanted to do was visit the George W. Bush Presidential Library. I really enjoyed my visit and I think they did a great job with the library. They have a lot of 9/11 history there, which was sobering to walk through and relive. Our kids had a lot of questions about everything and so it was a good time to talk to them about where we were on 9/11 and what we remembered.

One thing I thought was cool--and eerie--was seeing Saddam Hussein's Glock 18c on display. This was the pistol he had with him when he was captured in the spider hole.



Was really glad I got to visit the library. George W. Bush wasn't a perfect president. But he was the man we needed to lead our country through the crisis of terrorism. He and Laura Bush are classy people and I am thankful for them both.
