It is not 100% correct in all things, but you clearly have an agenda, not an honest desire to learn, be informed, discuss rationally and accept the truth in reality.

You're shit stirring. Everyone knows it, but most* here are polite and/or not willing to take the bait. I am not everyone else.

We past the "polite" exit several miles back.

If it were up to me, "less lethal", "tasers" and "OCS" would be shitcanned.

Too often it results in situations where the critical time to control and prevail are wasted from poor results and failures.

Many under the influence, mentally unstable and/or adrenalized are not affected sufficiently, and both LEO and innocents are harmed or killed.

The deserts are full of cactus, but very few people stand in the desert and slap the cactus.

Your answer lies in that.

Here is one, and fully sufficient to counter your "what aboutism" incidents with use of deadly force.

And I still would like to know if the OP thinks Michael "Hands Up Don't Shoot" Brown was gunned down in cold blood or not.

Michael Brown was 100% a justified homicide. He attempted to disarm a police officer. Also....the hands up narrative was BS.

My thoughts?
What would YOU do in this situation?

Those are my thoughts.

I think it is simple. I don't like seeing anyone getting killed but there are laws in society for a reason. You don't abide by them, you take your chances. Criminals and future ones don't care about anyone's safety, let alone their own and probably think they are in the right. How many times have officers given the shadow of a doubt to the person, only to be shot or killed later with their own gun? I have worked in the f.d. and have seen some people just bent on doing evil and not caring who they hurt and have seen the results first hand.

I remember one pt./scumbag we had who was on some type of drug/drugs and he was literally running/crashing through house windows and scaring everyone in his path. He did this to 4 homes, one right after another and one of them was a fireman I work with. He was at home and heard this person trying to jump through his window, fortunately he had some tough window glass and couldn't get through. The police arrived on scene and tried to subdue the pt. and tased him 3 times, (still had all of the prongs in him when we got on scene and covered in lacerations-fortunately for him, nothing deep) and it didn't affect him. It took six of us to get him to the ground and were able to medical restraints to tie him to the stretcher. I think if they even shot the guy, he wouldn't feel it and would still run at you. His tox screens came back later we found and were off the chart. That was on him for doing drugs.

Are you saying that it is acceptable to try to hurt others/officers because they have had some type of formal training? That doesn't make any sense. Cops are not there to be punching bags for society. Most officers get basic training and are not MMA fighters or the like. Some take/get extra training on the side but even with that, I have seen officers get hurt and killed because the criminal got the best of them. Granted there have been times officers made the wrong call, sadly it happens and some are just rogue who think they can do what they want. The majority want to do their job, from those that I have personally worked with and would be happy if they didn't shoot anyone but they are also aware that is not reality.

We passed (notice the correct spelling) the polite exit several miles back ? Wow. That’s unfortunate and speaks volumes of your character. This retired officer who runs the site is my brother from another mother and speaks truth. Maybe he saw my post . Enjoy

Yes, it does. I agree with the monkey. You're shit stirring. I suspect you've never been in harms way in any true aspect yet you judge those who are there daily.

What's that line from Jack in the movie A Few Good Men? Oh yeah, I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it! I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Seems applicable to the protection afforded you by the police.

Here's my take - if an officer fears they are in danger or death or great bodily harm, whether the prep is armed or not, they should defend themselves and if that means shooting someone "just running" toward them so be it.

Your little police-hating FB link tells me all I need to know, or to use your words, it "speaks volumes" about you and your motives.

If you're using a guy like Dominic Izzo to back yourself up, you're either intentionally trolling/ragebaiting (like Izzo tends to do) or you have no clue about Izzo's checkered background and his clickbait content and are just floundering around to find random Facebook posts that support your stance.

Either way, it's not helping you out.

I am not LE, but I have heard about Izzo's escapades and general assholery.

I'll bet CDP SIG has a better bead on the asshole.

He’s brash, but he’s old school like me. The new breed of police are embarassing . A few good ones make it through, but overall it’s full of a bunch of fat soft bodies who are scared of their own shadow and never been a fight in their life. They would shit their pants at how we policed back in the day. Ask tell make was what we lived by. Glad I did my 32 years and popped smoke.

I'm convinced he's a troll. IF he was ever a police office he likely handed out parking tickets and rode a desk.

Thanks. I did my due diligence and I was right. You're a troll.

Oh, and since we passed the polite exit a ways back...fuck you. (Merely saying what many others are also thinking). Now, why don't you go find a police officer and run at them?
