Told the wife the guy is a Tim Conway imitator playing Einstein. She did not get it.

You're spot on from the skit he did on the Carol Burnett show!

Einstein is played by Paul Giamatti in the commercial btw.

Giamatti plays a real douchebag in the series Billions.

He does a good job in that show. I enjoyed it.

I swear you have to score way below normal on an IQ test to be qualified to write TV commercials.

Paul Giamatti played the lead in the John Adams miniseries about 15 years ago on HBO. If you've never seen it, I highly recommend it. Some libraries have the DVDs so you can see it free.

I gained a much deeper respect for both John Adams and Giamatti after watching this program. It's up there with "Band of Brothers" and "From the Earth to the Moon". If HBO still made shows like this I would seriously consider subscribing to it...

I was wondering if that was Giamatti in the current commercial.

I became a fan of his via the film “Duets.” Not exactly a premier piece of cinema overall, but his hapless businessman-turned-karaoke-junkie character is hilarious to me.
