Legel Seafoods in Boston
We're flying into Logan next month, staying one night across from the airport, and looking for a good spot (close) for a good seafood dinner. Legal Seafoods pops on my maps as close and convenient. Anyone comments good/bad or another suggestion? We won't have a car until the next day so close is preferred.

It has been a while, but the last time I ate at a Legal Seafood, it was in Natick, and it was excellent. I would go back.

It's been probably 30 years since I went to the Legal Seafood in Copley Place, Boston. It was very good when I went.
I also went to the one in Framingham, and it was just as good.

My stomach pretty much sets the agenda on my vacations. Last time I was in Boston I ate clam chowder and lobster rolls at least at two of them but maybe more. The most memorable was by Harvard, and I'm pretty sure I ate at one in Boston Logan airport.

Legal is excellent. Very fresh, very good, and not crazy expensive. Not cheap, mind you, but a good value IMO.

Legal Seafood is OK; it is not as good as it was before Berkowitz sold it in 2020.

It will be the most convenient.

If you don't mind little atmosphere, Belle Isle Seafood is where a lot of locals eat.
1 Main St, Winthrop, MA 02152 CASH ONLY.

Boston Sail Loft and Neptune's Oyster House are also very good.

I haven't gone into Boston to eat for years, so this is all from years past.

Thank you all for the comments. We'll try Legal Seafoods since it's closest to our hotel (0.1 mi.) and the rent car pickup (airport) the next day.

I envy you!! I was born near Boston and ate lots of chow-dah, lob-stah, and fried clams as a kid. Never at Legal Seafoods, though.

This deal may work for you. Buy a $100 e-gift card and get a $20 bonus. If you expect to spend $120 I say go for it!

I recently heard very good things about The Daily Catch in the North End. Supposedly VERY small, but very good.

Strongly recommend both Belle Isle in Winthrop and The Daily Catch in the North End.

Belle Isle is a no frills place but excellent food. Daily catch is a small intimate place. Highly regarded for their calamari and squid ink pasta.

I always found Legal to be good but over rated.

My daughter went to college up there. Had many a meal at Legal Seafood. Cup of chowder, Caesar salad with 2 orders of grilled shrimp and a Sam Adam’s Summer Ale when sitting outside is an awesome lunch. For more upscale, I can second the vote for Atlantic Fish. It is excellent. Neptune’s Oyster is on the bucket list but they don’t take reservations and the line has always been longer than we were willing to wait.

Agree completely.

Belle Isle satisfies the seafood craving in a relaxed, seaside, unpretentious environment; lobster roll, chowder, lobster pie, fried seafood plater, check, check & check. Best part is its 10-min drive from the airport and you're not having to go into downtown or cross a major bridge. Yankee Lobster is in Boston just on the other side of the Ted Williams tunnel from the airport, also a very good menu line-up.

If you've got the time I try to hit Neptune Oyster at the edge of North End to scratch the seafood craving, great seafood menu in a nice sit-down space. Row 34 does a great job also slightly upscale, very simple menu
