3.5mm Bluetooth Adapter? Login/Join

My 2012 Malibu is 1 year off from having Bluetooth audio. The BT in it is phone calls only.

My phone doesn't have a 3.5mm, so I can't use that method anymore.

Anyone use/recommend a decent BT 3.5mm adapter?

I liked this style. Powers from USB adapter connected to the car's power port.

I have an anchor branded one that I'm sure still works and I don't need. I'll ship it to you if you want.

Wouldn't you want a usbc-to-3.5mm dongle?

Didn't consider that. Wouldn't you lose charging capability?

Well perhaps but what do you want to do?
Play your stuff or charge your phone?
Besides the answer of "both" - pick one.

My work van has Bluetooth for calls only, and 3.5mm imput for audio.

I've tried numerous USB-C to 3.5mm adapters, and none have lasted. Either they cause interference or just stop working all together.

I had an older 3.5mm Bluetooth adapter that was horrible for calls but worked well for music. I found my phone (Samsung Galaxy S21) can support multiple connections allowing the Van for calls and the adapter for media only.

Definitely the way to go.

I shall respect you until you open your mouth, from that point on, you must earn it yourself.

just don't buy one of those BT to FM radio things that I got where you tune the FM radio to a specific channel and listen via FM radio.

Sucked big time and the worst product I've ever used.

Apple sells both lightning --> 3.5mm jack and USB-C --> 3.5mm jack adapters. $9.00 each.
