Rey HRHwell, sumbitch. I did not know that about Alaska and Hawaii.
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

“Our actions may be impeded...
But there can be no impeding our intentions or our dispositions. Because we can accommodate and adapt. The mind adapts and converts to its own purposes the obstacle to our acting.
The impeding to action advances action.
What stands in the way becomes the way.”

.38supersigWhen I was born, General Motors still had a steam powered car.
Technically there were only 47 states back then.
Ohio didn't ratify the constitution until 1953.

YooperSigs48 for me too. And our house had only one phone. Rotary dial. Hung on the wall in the kitchen. When it rang, you actually wanted to know who was calling! The number was... 513-426-27XX. Drilled into me by my mother.
