If you want to save energy, especially when driving on hills, don't use cruise. Even more so with "adaptive cruise".

No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.

Yup, that's pretty much my procedure.

Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

And yet, I cannot find any tests proving such.

Accelerating down hill, to carry momentum up hill makes sense.

I do that as well, where possible. At least, that's what I plan to tell Smoky... Big Grin

The road from Route 1 to my house has a VERY deep...gully I guess you'd call it. Vertical drop of 50 or more feet down to the bottom and then right back up the other side.

If I play my cards right, I can gently accelerate on the downhill run and get up the uphill side without having to get onto the gas enough to turn the eco indicator off, and still be doing the speed limit at the top, or near to it.

My speed at the bottom is a whole other thing...
