The Middleweight title bout between Hagler vs Leonard was a classic April 6,1987.Anybody remember how good that fight was?

I agree with you,but I will admit I never liked Leonard. If a fight was close he was fighting in the judges seem to always go with him.Just my opinion.

Fixed fight. By giving Sugar Ray a bogus decision, they thought they would get a blockbuster rematch from Hagler. They were wrong and Hagler exited the sport forever.

I saw it and thought Hagler got shafted. He was one of the best in his prime and that bout between him and Thomas Hearns was great one.

Leonard was the "hometown kid" here in the DC Metro, so everyone was in his corner.

The welter and middleweight divisions were loaded with great fighters in that era. My favorite was actually Wilfred Benitez, but boxing was fun to watch back then. Now I just wait for Terence Crawford’s next fight.

I remember it well. Like many others, I thought Hagler deserved the decision. I still have the "Super Fight" VHS tape somewhere in the house.

Couldn't stand Sugar Ray, he always had the judges help in my view.

Didnt like Ali either, I dont like a show boat, be humble and thank god for the gifts you were given.
