I've only ever parted with a few firearms, none of which I regret selling.

On the flip side, there are a bunch I regret NOT buying.......

Marlin Camp 9, Marlin 336C, and a Savage 24V (223/12ga).

Ruger Redhawk .44 magnum only shot 6 rds thru.

My Wildey .45win mag.

Colt Gold Cup Series 70 45 ACP, first gun purchased with my own hard earned cash. Sold it to, wait for it.......pay for an engagement ring.
Browning Auto 5 Light 12 28"early Invector. Sold to pay for books last college semester. My duck hunting bros laughed at me cause I packed it in a thick soft case and didn't unsheath it until dekes were set and the blind smelled of coffee and donuts. Next season every 1100 and 870 in sight was in a case.

There have been many over the years.
Some that I lost interest and then wondered why I sold, some because I needed money and had no better choice.

They include:

Two, a S&W 45 Colt and a P229 9mm.

I think I've only sold about 5 guns.

20 ga standard weight Remington 1100 - It was nearly mint but was back behind the Brownings in the safe. I almost doubled my money.

Kimber 1911 - nice gun but I wasn't shooting pistols much and I made a few bucks and it went towards one of my favorite shotguns, which is now worth a whole lot more.

Remington 798 .300 WM - don't miss it at all. It was included in a trade package for a Ruger No. 1.

Ruger Mini 30 - kinda miss this one but it was also in the above package. I overpaid a bit but the 798 was cheap and I didn't want it anymore.

Glock 26 - received as partial trade for a 4 wheeler and was then traded away with a little boot for my P226. Good trade.

The only one I have ever sold was incomplete, but I regret it nonetheless. An LMT lower.

I regret selling my P229 Sport. I sent it back for workmanship issues. Sig sent me another just as bad. I wrote a motivating letter and sent it back again. The 3rd P229 Sport was perfect with a nice bead blast finish.

The lines on that gun are just perfect.

Factory nickel Colt .38 super, pre-70 series. And a Colt Combat Commander satin nickel .38 super.

I have had many guns come and go. Two that stick out were a Colt Python 6" royal blue in 99% condition. The other was an Automag in 44. These were sold to fund other projects, which I sold to fund other projects!

A couple pre M27 3.5" magnums, a 228 with a trigger by Dave Berryhill

Ruger birdshead vaquero in .357 - it was a beast and I was tired of carrying it around on my hip in the woods. I got a great deal on a model 19 smith and thought I'd be much happier with it than the Vaq... I miss the vaquero nearly every time I'm up north. That revolver was a pleasure to shoot.

I most regret not buying a python while they were in production.

I forgot to mention a Savage over/under camp gun in .410 and .22 Mag. It used to go on every hunting trip and it provided a lot of camp meat. Mostly grouse and rabbits. You never see them any more.

When I sold my last boat I also sold my Mossberg 500 Just in Case. Kept locked in the forward cabin for years. I loved the tube and the ease of use of the thing. Happy I sold the boat sad about the gun.
