How did Houston members fare from last night's storm?
That shit was quick but destructive. I knew we were getting a big storm but never realized it was going to be that bad. But, my parents' place and mine were spared, thank God for that. Just power outage, and mine just cam back on half an hour ago. The city was pitch black as I was driving home last night. Never seen anything like it, even with all the previous black outs. Almost hit a tree that fell onto the street. Never saw it, until it was a few feet from the car. Eek

Hope everyone was spared damage and are ok, yes, driving after or during a storm can be flat out dangerous, you never know what you'll run up on in the dark.

Makes you want to add those aftermarket LED light bars for emergency times...

Drove home from getting some Handels ice cream around 7 and it was like driving at night in a tropical storm, roads were flooding, wind and water blowing sideways. Crazy.

We never lost power I am embarrassed to say. Lots of coworkers were/are without power. Our neighborhood still has sections with no power.

No damage. It was rocking and rolling here last night and we lost power twice for 10 minutes.

Several coworkers had trees hit houses and many without power.

Reportedly more than a million were w/o power. I'm fortunate to have gotten it back in less than 24 hrs.

All good here, near The Woodlands Mall area.
Neighbors have some tree limbs down & we had a tree down around the corner.
Didn't lose power for once.
My office, just south of IAH still doesn't have power.

Last I checked, CenterPoint was reporting around 630k still without power.

All I got was 1.25" of rain in an hour. Never even got to use my standby generator. I'm south, the people north had worse.

I went down to our office this morning, as the only IT guy in town.
No power still for a lot of the JFK corridor.
As far as I know, we still have no power down there. Bit over 48hrs now, went down about 630p Thursday afternoon

IIRC it was something like 725k on Friday morning.
Centerpoint map seemed to indicate the majority were inside the 610 loop & out in the Cypress area

We are in Cypress, Fairfield subdivision, and lost power at around 6:15 PM Thursday and it came back around 5 AM Friday.
It was back as night when the storm passed through.

Other areas of Fairfield are still powerless as of yesterday afternoon.

We lost 1 limb on a big crape myrtle in our back yard. Glad it was not more serious.

My daughter lives in Katy and she has someone else trampoline in her back yard after the storm. She still has no power yet.

CP map is now just showing ETR for most outages. Some as far out as 5/22.
My office [JFK, north of BW8] is still down, but not showing as an outage on the map.

My brother is also in Katy but luckily didn't lose his.

I park at The Parking Spot on JFK, which is very close to your office building. They were still out yesterday but had it back on this morning. So, I'm thinking your place will get it back on soon.

My parents house in Spring Branch is still without power.

Yeah, that's just a couple blocks away. Here's hoping.

About 72 hours after the storm, and 264,448 customers still without power.

This afternoon, I went downtown to watch the Astros. I was on the northeast side of downtown the entire time and that part looks normal (i.e. no broken/boarded windows). Astros had power for Friday's game and today was business as usual.
