Here is an amazing 1 hour inside scoop of ULA. I cant even imagine what the CNC 60 meter long machine would cost.

I really enjoy his channel.

Success always occurs in private, and failure in full view.

Complacency sucks…

I thought I would watch for 10-15 minutes and ended up watching the entire video. That was fascinating! What a pleasant surprise to see an interview where a CEO of such a highly technical product line was so ready with answers to the intricacies of various processes used to manufacture the company's end products.

I was a Liaison Engineer there 2001-2006 when it was Boeing. The factory was designed to output a Delta Common Booster Core every 6 days. Demand never materialized for that.

That was a very impressive video. Great to see we have that sort of stuff going on here.
There was a tremendous spin-off effect from this sort of technology back in the 60's and maybe this can also propel our industries forward in the future.
There is a second shorter related video, more about the engines and guidance that shows how many younger looking people. Great to see still produce some intelligent people from our universities with some practical skills.

I worked there for 21 years and just recently left to work at Blue Origin (building the BE4 engine for Vulcan)

You can’t argue with ULA’s success. They are the masters at building and launching rockets.
