HRKPrime Example Of How Tipping Has Gotten Out Of Control
Went to Sonnys BBQ, drive through, and went to pay with credit, they stuck the machine through the window with a Tip button of 20 22 and 25.
From now on, keeping some cash in the truck and noting anyone that does that.
Table service, fine, but handing food out a window, nope, easily solved, stop using CC or Apple pay.

If there was no option for "No Tip" or "Custom Tip" I would sure give an earful to Sonny's management.

Fly-SigI find it just wrong that so many employers are using tips towards what should be basic wages.
The cruise industry is terrible for this. They collect a "gratuity" fee in addition to the basic fare, which they distribute across the employees. It is about $20 per person per day.
We just booked a small luxury "barge" trip next year. The recommended gratuity is 10% of the fare. It averages out to $1500 tip
per crewmember (total from all passengers) for a 1 week cruise! Do they not pay the crew regular wages?

uvahawkLike others, I am so tired of having that electronic device put in front me and prompting for a tip. I think going forward, the option of "No Tip" may be the best option.
