The Mustang LT25 has a lot of band pre sets already loaded onto it. The pedals being discussed here can have effects and pre sets, but they're really meant to mimic different amps. Multi effect units is where you'll find more ways to sound like a particular band or person. You can download and edit even more pre sets from Fenders website for free.

I've done about four amp builds. Last one was a Mojotone clone of a Marshall 2204. Came out fantastic and was pretty cheap.

I've modified a handful of amps and basically replaced every component in my Fender Bassman but my first build from scratch is probably going to happen over the winter season. I'm not going the kit route and may even build the chassis.
